Mark’s Escape
Mark was
watching football in his living room, his only worry was that his team would
lose the game. Then, suddenly, the TV screen went red and flashed "Alert!
Evacuate!" as a siren roared. Mark, startled, took no delay,
"Hailey!!!"
Mark yelled at the top of his voice, "Run! Remember, Ev Route 1!"
"I'm
coming!" yelled his wife from her room, her voice almost completely
drowned out by the noise.
"How
did he find us?" she said once they met in the basement.
"I have
no idea," Mark said as he opened a trapdoor to a deeper huge hangar. It
was about 30 feet high and 200 square feet wide.
He quickly
climbed down a ladder to the room. As he decent Hailey followed. When they
reached the bottom they rushed to something that looked like a high-tech
lightweight small plane. When they reached the vehicle they hurried in. Inside
there were many futuristic controls.
“I had
wished we would never have to use this,” Hailey commented bitterly as Mark pushed
a blue button marked "start". Then the engine started and he hurried
the plane down a tunnel.
After a few
minutes of driving underground, Mark pressed a button on some sort of garage
opener which made the ground above open. They flew vertically like a jump jet
through the opening. After they flew through the ground closed after them. They
flew vertically until they were well above all trees, then he pressed a button labeled
"rocket/propeller" which made the propellers retract and the rockets
extend from the back.
"Buckle
up," said Mark as he pulled up the plane so the nose pointed straight up,
"rockets full power." He pressed again, another button.
They flew up
for a while until they came to an oversized satellite then the plane docked
with it automatically and Mark and Hailey walked in. Inside there was a
computer and a small glass room with a button inside. Mark typed in the words
onto the computer, "Superor Pandia fata Systemat Superor P 1159.” It asked
for a PIN. Mark typed 4938. Then they rushed into the glass room and Hailey
pressed the button.
"Have
you got him and his wife?" a man said to another man both sitting in
comfortable chairs.
"We had
a small problem," the other man said, "he wasn't there."
The first man, enraged said, "He wasn't
there! What do you mean!!?”
"I made
sure of everything s-sir," he staggered.
"Everything!
If you followed everything we would be interrogating him right now!!! You
followed all instructions eh. Did you surround the house, enter, and thrash it
looking for him?! Did you burn the house down and blow the remaining pieces to
the ground after with dynamite?! Huh?! Huh?!"
"Now
that you mention it we did find something under the house after blow–“
"What
was it!?"
"I was
just about–“
"No
more procrastination, just tell me! Every detail of everything."
"Yes
Dr. Gazilleon, we found a large underground hangar under his destroyed
house."
"What
was in this, underground hangar of his," Dr. Gazilleon said, much softer
now.
"There
is an office room with a computer inside, and there is a tunnel about one
hundred meters long."
"What
was in the tunnel?"
"Nothing
at all. Maybe it was still being dug, sir."
"Garen,
my son, he would have finished it by now. Otherwise digging machines would be
in the cavern. They would not waste time bringing the trucks in and out."
"Yes
father," said the son finding his father was in a better mood, "Then
what could it be?"
"I have
no, idea." He first said curiously. Then, he grinned.
